Parenting Affirmations

The only guarantees we have as parents are that it's hard, it's tiring and it can sometimes feel defeating. But it's also an honor, an adventure and the single most important role on the planet.

  • I am grateful to have this experience

  • I embrace the rhythm of life and I allow things to unfold as they should

  • I invest well in my child

  • I will work with my child’s team (teachers, family members, etc.) to help them succeed

  • I  trust my child to solve many problems on their own

  • I am aware of my child’s needs. I am supportive as they learn and grow at their individual pace.

  • I will show my child love through my actions and words

​

  • I will stay calm even in the midst of chaos

​

  • I become a more confident mother/father with each new day

​

  • Not loving every moment in parenting does not mean I do not love my child or that I am a bad mother/father

​

  • I display patience and grace throughout my day

​

  • Wanting time away from my child does not mean I do not love them. I deserve to care for myself too

​

  • I release expectations and allow my child to be who we are

​

  • Being frustrated doesn’t make me a bad parent; it makes me human

​

  • I am consistently present and involved in my child’s life

​

  • I amplify other voices of positive influence in my child’s life

​

  • I am exactly what my child needs

​

  • I am confident in God’s plan and know he orders my children’s steps
